Getting To and
Fro...
- Try the RTD Light Rail!
Trains depart every 5-15 minutes from each station, starting at
Mineral Avenue and Santa Fe Drive in Littleton to the 16th
Street and California Station. There is plenty of FREE parking
at the Littleton/Mineral, Littleton/Downtown, Englewood, I-25/Broaway
and the Alameda Stations. Fare is required to board the Light
Rail.
- Once the train arrives Downtown,
you have two options: 1) Take the Light Rail to the 14th &
California station and walk 5 blocks down 14th Street toward
Civic Center Park. Or 2) Take the Light Rail to the 16th and
California Station and transfer to the FREE Mall Shuttle to
Civic Center Park.
- Free shuttle bus from
Auraria Campus parking lots to Civic Center
Park runs every half hour, thanks to The Riviera Royal
Express. On Friday, Sunday, and Monday, use the "E"
lot; on Saturday, it's the
"K" lot. Shuttle service is 4:00 to
10:30 p.m. Friday, August 31, and 11 a.m. to closing the remaining
three days. The cost for parking is $4.
- Ride your Bicycle! The
Inner City Youth Group is handling $1 bike parking Saturday
through Monday from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Lincoln and Colfax.
- By Car: Downtown
Denver is accessible from all directions via I-25, 6th Avenue,
Speer Boulevard, Brighton Boulevard, Lincoln Street, Santa Fe
and Colfax Avenue. See a regional

- From I-70 exit at Brighton
Boulevard. Continue south on Brighton until it turns into
Broadway. Be sure to park before you get to Civic Center
Park as Broadway will be closed past 18th Avenue.
- From I-25 Points south of
Downtown, exit at Lincoln Street, Colfax Avenue or Auraria
Parkway.
- From I-25 points north, exit
at 38th Ave/Park Avenue, or at Speer Boulevard.
- From Santa Fe Drive, continue
into Downtown.
- There will be additional
traffic throughout the weekend; the Colorado Rockies will
play at Coors Field on Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 1pm,
Sunday at 1pm, and Monday at 1pm. Also on Sunday at 5pm, The
University of Colorado and Colorado State University will be
play football at Mile High Stadium. Allow extra time to
drive Downtown during those events.
WHERE TO PARK. . .
- Drivers have 40,000 Downtown
parking spaces to choose from in parking garages and surface
lots, with quick access to the festival via the FREE 16th Street
Mall shuttle. Handicapped parking is available at all public
parking lots. Also, a limited number of handicapped
parking spaces are available at a Festival parking lot located
at the northeast corner of Colfax Avenue and Lincoln Street.

- If you park at a meter, read the
sign on it. Meter rules in Downtown vary by location and time of
day. Remember, meters are intended for short term parking, and
most meters have a two hour time limit.
- If you park in an unattended lot,
pay upon arrival.
- Many parking garages are open to
the public, even if they are part of office towers. Look for
signs or ask an attendant.
HOW TO GET AROUND. . .
- Once Downtown, you can easily
walk to the Civic Center park, or you can catch the FREE 16th
Street Mall shuttle. The shuttle stops at every intersection
along the Mall between Civic Center and Market Street bus
stations.
- Shuttles run every 1 to 2 minutes
during morning, noon and afternoon peak hours, every 2 to 5
minutes until early evening, 7 to 12 minutes during late evening
hours.
